Frequently Asked Questions
Have Additional Questions? Call Us at (808) 518-6376.-
Q:With COVID-19, Do You Offer Phone or Video Consultations?
A:Yes. One of the adjustments we’ve made in response to the coronavirus is an availability to meet with clients by phone and by video/remote access rather than in the office.
-
Q:How Do I Get a Temporary Restraining Order?
A:Our attorneys can help you apply for a TRO. After submitting your application, personal service upon the alleged is generally required by a sheriff of your local police department.
-
Q:Do You Offer Services in Languages Other Than English?
A:Our attorneys and select staff are available to assist our clients in English, Japanese, and Korean.
-
Q:How Do I Get My Child Support Changed?
A:Child support may be adjusted as necessary in the face of changing circumstances, such as a change in income, a change in costs, or a change in the number of children, such as when a child ages and is no longer eligible. You can then seek a modification through the court or with the Child Support Enforcement Agency. Our attorneys can listen to your needs and help you choose the path that is right for you and your family.
-
Q:How Do You Promote Early & Amicable Settlement of Cases?
A:Many cases do not require urgent actions in the start, so whenever we can, we make attempts at settlement the first order of business.
