Biography

ALBERT S. LEE, is an Associate Attorney with Coates Frey & Hackett, AAL LLLC, where his practice focuses on family law matters, including divorce, child custody and support, post-decree matters, paternity, and other domestic relations disputes.

Albert graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa William S. Richardson School of Law. During law school, he completed a summer internship with the City and County of Honolulu Prosecutor’s Office, where he gained valuable exposure to courtroom practice and the workings of Hawaii’s legal system.

Albert took a nontraditional path to the practice of law. Before becoming an attorney, he developed a diverse professional background spanning public service, investigative and regulatory matters, business and financial operations, and scientific research. Among his public-service experience, Albert worked in a role advocating for residents of long-term care facilities, which involved investigating concerns, communicating with residents and care providers, and addressing issues affecting vulnerable members of the community. His varied professional experiences have given him a practical perspective on problem-solving and an appreciation for the personal and financial concerns that often accompany legal disputes.

Prior to attending law school, Albert earned his Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University, where he studied Biochemistry. His scientific education and professional background reinforced an analytical and detail-oriented approach that he now brings to the practice of law.
